'Kung Fu Nuns' say no to pollution

ALLAHABAD : Jigme Yudron Chamo, Jigme Konchok Chamo, Jigme Yeshe Chamo and Jigme Tenzin Chamo are no ordinary women.They are part of 250-strong team of cycle enthusiasts, ‘Kung Fu Nuns’, who arrived in the city on Saturday.
They are spreading the message of environment protection. Talking to TOI, Jigme Yudron Chamo says, “We are taking out the rally in various parts of the country to spread awareness among the people about the importance of environment.

We should try to use cycle at least once a week for commuting.” Jigme Konchok Chamo chips in, “We have degraded the environment and exploited its resources.”
The Kung Fu Nuns have earned appreciation during the rehabilitation work in Nepal when it was devastated by an earthquake in April.
